How Did Our M&E Contractor Team Deliver the Project Efficiently?
Our M&E contractor team planned each phase carefully to maintain daily operations within occupied care homes. We carried out all work during normal hours, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff.
Engineers installed new radial circuits using 2.5mm LSF twin and earth cabling.
Then, we routed cabling through existing containment above suspended ceilings wherever possible. This approach reduced invasive works while maintaining a clean and professional installation.
We positioned each socket outlet within one metre above the medical equipment location. Furthermore, we surface-mounted sockets and concealed cabling within white mini trunking for a neat finish. As a result, the final installation balanced practicality, safety, and visual consistency.
What Electrical Infrastructure did we Install?
Our electrical services included a full upgrade to support specialist Medicare equipment. For each site specification, we installed approximately 24 unswitched MK single socket outlets above designated equipment positions.
In addition, we supplied and fitted several Eaton Memshield AFDD distribution boards. Each board included AFDD, RCBO, and MCB protection devices to enhance circuit safety. We also integrated multiple Eaton C32 MCBs into the existing distribution equipment.
Each floor received a dedicated supply from the LV distribution boards. Therefore, the system now supports safe load distribution across all connected equipment.

How Did We Ensure Compliance and Safety Standards?
We carried out full electrical testing in accordance with BS7671:2018 regulations. Once testing confirmed compliance, we energised the new circuits safely. Additionally, we labelled all socket outlets clearly for ease of identification.

Our team issued NICEIC Electrical Installation Certificates to verify compliance. To maintain fire integrity, we sealed all cable penetrations using intumescent fire mastic. Moreover, we removed all redundant materials and ensured a clean handover. This process ensured every installation met strict healthcare and safety requirements.
