Glass Flooring Lighting Challenge

The atrium’s glass flooring was challenging; we had to remove it section by section. Work required precise coordination to minimise disruption. The client needed a fast turnaround with minimal downtime.

LED Lighting Upgrade Solution

As expert electrical contractors in London, we delivered a seamless upgrade:

• Strategic Scheduling – We planned work both in and out of standard hours, ensuring minimal disruption to the building’s operations.
• Safe Access & Preparation – Our team carefully lifted, labeled, and stored glass and Perspex panels, ensuring they could be safely reinstated after installation.
• Fluorescent Removal – We systematically disconnected and removed all 54 outdated 32W fluorescent luminaires, along with their control gear, emergency packs, batteries, and tubes, preparing them for responsible disposal.
• Energy-Efficient Installation – We installed 54 high-performance 17W Ansell CCT LED luminaires, ensuring brighter, more efficient lighting. Within these, 10 units were upgraded to 3-hour emergency variants to meet safety regulations.
• Flawless Finish – After installation, we meticulously cleaned and replaced each glass and Perspex panel in the exact order of removal, maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the atrium.
• Testing & Disposal – Once installed, we re-energised the lighting system, thoroughly checked for correct operation, and safely disposed of all removed components at a licensed recycling facility.
