We’re thrilled to share that London’s iconic ‘Spirit of Christmas‘ lights on Regent Street and nearby surrounding neighbourhoods are now shining brightly for all to enjoy! Thanks to our dedicated electrical services team supplying the power to the LED lights. The annual switch-on went off without a hitch on Thursday, 7th November 2024, filling the streets with festive magic. It was an extra special occasion, as the evening marked the 70th anniversary for the Christmas lights.
The hanging displays feature over 30 ‘Spirits’ and are made up of more than 300,000 LED lights, making the West End sparkle brightly during the festive season.
Behind this spectacular display, our team at IDWe Ltd have worked tirelessly alongside The Crown Estate and James Glancy Design Ltd to meet the critical deadline. Ensuring everything was ready on time and to the highest standards. Months of planning, testing, and precise installations went into making sure these famous lights continue to dazzle Londoners and tourists alike.
Innovation project
This year, we focused on innovation by upgrading the electrical systems on Jermyn Street with a Casambi smart lighting control system. This cutting-edge technology enables quick adjustments via app-controlled timers, ensuring more efficient, adaptable lighting. It’s part of our commitment to providing seamless, high-quality electrical solutions for large-scale events and installations.
