Stronger Oulton Park Performance for Wilford

Round 9 of the Bennetts British Superbikes GP2 Championship saw a stronger performance from Sam Wilford and the IDWe Racing Kalex Moto2 machine. With two 3rd place podium finishes and an all-time personal best lap time over the weekend.

The team have been struggling over the past few months to find a setting that gives Sam the confidence to push hard on the bike and through extensive testing, they hope that setting has now been found and the performance over the weekend seems to confirm it.

Sam Wilford
” It has been a tough few months for us since Donington earlier in the season, I have struggled to feel comfortable on the bike. We have tried everything and eventually, we have found something that I like and we can get back on the pace. Looking back at the weekend, I feel that with the lap time in race 2 in the 38s we can be competitive in the remaining races and fight to be second in the Championship. I am really looking forward to Assen and see what we can achieve there.
I want to thank all my sponsors, supporters and the great team I have around me, who have been working so hard throughout the season to find what we have been looking for and all that hard work is starting to pay off.”

IDWe Racing will be back on track in Holland at the famous Assen circuit for Round 10 on 21st & 22nd September.
